Mandelson-Founded Lobby Firm’s New Boss Buys Him Out
Britain’s former US ambassador Peter Mandelson has been bought out of the lobbying firm he founded by its new chief executive Rebecca Park as part of a broader overhaul to distance it from convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Park, who is independently wealthy through her family business, paid an undisclosed sum for Mandelson’s 21% stake in Global Counsel, removing him as an owner. The company said it completed the process “this afternoon.” At the last available valuation, when US firm The Messina Group took a stake in 2024, Mandelson’s holding would have been worth £6 million ($8.2 million).
