DDHQ Retracts Projection for Malinowski Win in New Jersey Race

Election analysis website Decision Desk HQ retracted a call projecting former Congressman Tom Malinowski as the winner of a hotly contested primary to fill a vacant House seat in New Jersey’s commuter suburbs.

The district, previously represented by Mikie Sherrill who became New Jersey’s governor last month, encompasses Sherrill’s liberal-leaning hometown of Montclair in Essex County, wealthy enclaves of Millburn and Chatham, as well as more moderate and conservative areas further away from Newark and New York City.
