Polish Central Bank Holds Rates Again as Economy Accelerates

Poland’s central bank said inflation could fall further in the coming quarters before stabilizing around policymakers’ target — adding to signals that its pause in interest rate cuts will be short-lived.

The Monetary Policy Council left the benchmark steady at 4% for a second month on Wednesday, matching the forecast of a majority of analysts. The 10-member panel cut its main rate by a total of 175 basis points last year as inflation proved softer than anticipated.
