Man Gets Life in Prison for 2024 Trump Assassination Attempt
The man who attempted to assassinate then-presidential candidate Donald Trump while he was golfing in September 2024 was sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty by a federal jury.
Ryan Wesley Routh was sentenced Wednesday by US District Judge Aileen Cannon in Florida, roughly four months after a jury convicted him on all five counts in his indictment, including firearms charges, the Justice Department said Wednesday.
