UK grocery price inflation eased to its lowest level since April, as Britons opted for supermarkets’ own-brand products and promotional items.

Like-for-like grocery inflation edged down to 4% in the four weeks to Jan. 25 from a year earlier, according to a report from Worldpanel by Numerator on Tuesday, offering a degree of respite for cash-strapped customers.
