Chicago Mayor Names Mahr as Interim Chief Financial Officer

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has appointed Steven Mahr to serve as interim chief financial officer.

Mahr, who has served as assistant commissioner in the finance department for the third-largest US city, is stepping into the position “while the administration identifies a permanent CFO,” Cassio Mendoza, spokesperson for Johnson, confirmed on Tuesday.
