Restructuring heavyweights Mark Buschmann and Richard Shinder have started a new advisory firm targeting upper-middle market companies in financial distress.

New York-based Ensis Partners has secured financial backing from institutional and high-net-worth investors, according to a statement seen by Bloomberg. The firm will focus on liability management exercises, special situations financings, Chapter 11 proceedings and cross-border engagements.
