Chubu Electric Prepares Strategy Amid Uncertain Nuclear Restart

Chubu Electric Power Co. is drafting a new midterm management plan designed to withstand uncertainty over the restart of its key nuclear power plant as potential misconduct clouds the facility’s outlook.

The Japanese regional utility may reshuffle investment assets in its business portfolio as it works on the new plan, Takehide Horibe, a manager in the corporate administration department, said at an earnings press conference in Tokyo on Monday.
