Boeing Needs More to Claw Out of Restrictions, FAA Chief Says
Improvements at Boeing has enabled the the planemaker to raise output of its 737 Max aircraft.
Photographer: David Ryder/BloombergBoeing Co. still needs to do more to win back the ability to certify the airworthiness of its aircraft and other powers the aviation giant lost after a series of manufacturing lapses, according to the head of the US Federal Aviation Administration.
“They need to do more and we’re working with them to help them get where they need to go,” FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford said Monday in Singapore at an industry conference ahead of Asia’s largest air show. Still, Boeing is making “great progress,” he said.
