Emirates is set to start flying to Berlin this year, finally landing a route to the capital of Europe’s biggest economy after three decades of lobbying.

Dubai’s flag carrier will commence service in December using a Boeing Co. 777 aircraft, according to documents seen by Bloomberg News. The route was initially scheduled to open in May but was pushed back as Emirates faces delays in receiving aircraft, according to a separate memo.
