Colombia Set For First Key Rate Rise Since 2023: Decision Guide

Colombia is forecast to lift interest rates for the first time since 2023 to curb soaring price pressures after a record increase in the minimum wage.

All thirty analysts surveyed by Bloomberg predict that borrowing costs will go higher. Of those, 24 expect a half-percentage point hike in the policy rate, to 9.75%. Three expect a bigger increase, to 10%, while three predict a quarter-point rise.
