3D Printing Startup VulcanForms Raises $220 Million for US Manufacturing

Metal parts maker VulcanForms Inc. has raised $220 million in a funding round led by Eclipse and 1789 Capital, the VC firm where Donald Trump Jr. is a partner.

The startup sells parts to businesses in industries including health care, aerospace and defense, placing an emphasis on creating US-made products. The company uses a process called additive manufacturing, commonly known as 3D printing, and primarily works with titanium-nickel alloy material.
