Visa Earnings Beat Estimates, Bolstered by Stronger Spending
Visa Inc. reported earnings that topped analyst estimates as payments surged 8% from a year earlier amid strong holiday spending.
Visa’s adjusted earnings for the fiscal first quarter were $3.17 a share, up 15% from the same period a year earlier, the company said in a statement Thursday. That surpassed the average analyst estimate of $3.14 a share in data compiled by Bloomberg.
