Treasuries Extend Gains After Strong Two-Year Note Auction

Treasuries rose after robust demand for an auction of two-year notes showed that expectations for Federal Reserve interest-rate cuts later this year remain a powerful inducement for buyers of US government debt.

The advance pushed yields lower across tenors, with rates on long-dated bonds closing at their lowest level in more than a week.
