Europe Must Draw Red Lines for China, Nagel Tells Tagesspiegel

Europe must better protect key industries against Chinese competition and draw “red lines” the country cannot cross, Bundesbank President Joachim Nagel said in an interview with Tagesspiegel published on Saturday.

China remains an attractive market for Europe’s exporters and an important source for consumer goods, but governments mustn’t be “naive” when it comes to key sectors like car manufacturing, Nagel was quoted as saying.
