BOE Revamps Monetary Policy Division, Boosting Lombardelli Role

The Bank of England is restructuring the top of its monetary policy and analysis teams in a shake-up that is seen as strengthening the hand of Deputy Governor Clare Lombardelli.

The UK central bank is hiring a new executive director to oversee 300 staff and splitting up the management of its monetary analysis and research divisions as part of the overhaul that is expected to give Lombardelli more control over staffing, according to people familiar with the matter.
