RWE Weighs Sweden Exit After Selling Most of its Wind Assets
German utility RWE AG is considering an exit from the Swedish energy market, where growth in renewables has stalled amid policy uncertainty and a government push to develop new nuclear reactors.
On Friday, the company said it had agreed to sell most of its Swedish assets to renewables firm Aneo AS, including onshore and offshore wind parks as well as a substantial development pipeline. The price was not disclosed, and the transaction is expected to close this quarter.
