Passengers using London Heathrow Airport will likely get through security checkpoints faster after the UK’s largest aviation hub revised its rules for carrying liquids and electronics following a £1 billion scanner upgrade.
Flyers can now keep liquids in 2-liter containers in their carry-on bags and don’t have to remove their laptops and other gear and put them in separate trays, according to a statement Friday. The relaxed rules apply to all four terminals, which have new computed tomography scanners that provide better images of cabin baggage.
