Tokyo Electric Power Co. will shut down a reactor at its massive nuclear power plant in Japan’s Niigata prefecture to probe an electrical issue, just a day after it was restarted.

Tepco, the country’s largest utility, suspended the restart process of the Kashiwazaki Kariwa plant on Thursday and will turn off its No. 6 reactor after discovering an issue with an electrical part, according to a spokesperson.
