Sweden Outlook Raised Across Nordic Banks as Demand Revives
A long-awaited recovery in the Swedish economy is gathering momentum with analysts at several local lenders forecasting a stronger rebound for this year than previously.
Gross domestic product in the largest Nordic nation, driven by domestic demand, is seen growing by 3%, versus 2.5% forecast in September, according to Nordea Bank Abp’s economic outlook published Wednesday. That compares with forecasts for somewhat smaller gains from Svenska Handelsbanken AB, Swedbank AB, and DNB Carnegie, which also updated their projections.
