FAB Joins UAE Lenders’ Turkey Push With Ex-HSBC Banker Hire

First Abu Dhabi Bank PJSC opened a representative office in Istanbul, the latest example of lenders from the United Arab Emirates expanding their operations in Turkey.

FAB hired Tolga Kisakurek, a former executive vice-president at Istanbul-based Dogan Investment Bank who’s also held director roles at HSBC Holdings Plc and Citigroup Inc., to lead the office, according to a post by Kisakurek on LinkedIn. Kisakurek confirmed the role but declined to comment further when contacted by Bloomberg.
