ECB’s Villeroy Sees ‘Muted’ Price Impact From Trade Tensions
Escalating transatlantic trade tensions won’t have much impact on the inflation outlook, according to European Central Bank Governing Council member Francois Villeroy de Galhau.
Tariffs already in place haven’t so far resulted in major consequences for prices in Europe, the Bank of France chief told Bloomberg Television on Tuesday at the World Economic Forum in Davos, adding that any new levies would likely only have a “muted” influence.
