China Southern Power Grid Plans Record $26 Billion Spend in 2026

State-owned China Southern Power Grid Co. plans to lift its annual spending to a record 180 billion yuan ($26 billion) this year, as Beijing pushes to modernize its grids to accommodate renewable energy growth.

The country’s second-biggest grid operator aims to boost fixed-asset investment by about 3% from last year, marking a fifth consecutive annual increase, the official China Securities Journal reported on Monday.
