Yann LeCun’s artificial intelligence startup, AMI Labs, has attracted potential backers including Cathay Innovation in a round that could value the former Meta Platforms Inc. researcher’s business at €3 billion ($3.5 billion), people familiar with the matter said.

The AMI Labs team is also in discussions with UK-based Hiro Capital, where LeCun is an adviser, and Bumble Inc. investor Greycroft, the people said, who asked not to be identified because the information isn’t public. Discussions with prospective backers are fluid and no final decisions have been made, the people said.
