S. Korea, Taiwan Lead EM Asia Stocks Higher, Reversing Greenland Tariff Worries
Emerging-market assets gained against a weaker dollar on Monday amid fresh trade tensions between the US and Europe over President Donald Trump’s push to take control of Greenland.
The MSCI Emerging Market Currency Index rose 0.1%. The Thai baht paced gains as gold rallied, and most currencies from Eastern Europe and Latin America also climbed as the dollar dipped in a session marked by thin liquidity as US markets were shut for a public holiday.
