Airbus Humanoid Order Sends Chinese Robot Maker’s Shares Surging

UBTech Robotics Corp. shares jumped after the China-based humanoid maker received an order from Airbus SE, bolstering the outlook for use of its products in global manufacturing.

The stock climbed as much as 8% in Hong Kong to the highest since Oct. 31. Airbus purchased the company’s Walker S2 humanoid robots for use at its aircraft plants, UBTech said in a statement, without giving details on the terms.
