The US is blocking Spain from preparations for its G-20 summit as relations sour between the countries, the latest sign of the Trump administration’s willingness to sideline allies in its push to reshape the global order.

The US is hosting the Dec. 14-15 gathering, which brings together the world’s leading industrialized and developing economies, in December at President Donald Trump’s golf resort in Miami. Washington is using the perch to cut down input from countries like Spain that are typically invited to the annual summits but are not official G-20 members.
