Donald Trump is following through on a greater share of his threats in his second term, suggesting a higher risk for Iran even as the US president signals a pause in attacks on the country, a Bloomberg Economics report showed.

During his first term, Trump carried out about 40% of the threats he made, according to an analysisBloomberg Terminal by Jennifer Welch, chief geoeconomics analyst at Bloomberg Economics. That rate has risen to 60% so far in his second term — a shift that suggests “Tehran shouldn’t bet on TACO,” Welch said, referring to a popular investor shorthand for “Trump Always Chickens Out.”
