EM Fund Beating 97% of Peers Says Memory Chips Are Best Bet
Memory stocks are the place to be as artificial intelligence continues to push up chip demand over the next decade, according to emerging‑market equity fund manager Divya Mathur at ClearBridge Investments.
Mathur’s ClearBridge SMASh Series EM Fund, which beat 97% of peers in the past year according to Bloomberg-compiled data, has big bets on Samsung Electronics Co. — shares of which more than doubled in 2025 — and SK Hynix Inc., which nearly quadrupled. He’s expecting further gains, saying AI will permanently reshape an industry long considered cyclical and commoditized.
