Nigeria’s annual inflation rate fell in December after the statistics office revised its calculation method to avoid an artificial spike caused by last year’s rebasing.

Under the revised methodology, consumer prices rose 15.2%, compared with 17.3% in November, data published by the National Bureau of Statistics on Thursday showed. It also revised year-on-year inflation rates for January to November 2025.
