The US on Wednesday announced an indefinite suspension of processing immigrant visas for people from 75 countries, in an escalation of the Trump’s administration’s crackdown on immigration.
The move, which will come into effect on Jan. 21, applies to people seeking to live and work permanently in the US. Dual nationals with a passport of a country not affected by the ban are exempt, according to the State Department.
