The Canadian housing market ended 2025 on a down note, with both sales and prices declining as economic uncertainty kept buyers away.

The benchmark home price dipped 0.3% in December from the previous month to C$673,400 ($485,000). That was 4% lower than a year earlier, according to data from the Canadian Real Estate Association released Thursday.
