Dave Filoni, a veteran producer and screenwriter, is being promoted to president of Star Wars creator Lucasfilm, replacing Kathleen Kennedy, who held that post for 14 years.

Lynwen Brennan, general manager of Lucasfilm’s business operations, was named co-president, the Walt Disney Co. subsidiary said in a statement Thursday.
