Dutch Court Weighs Next Step in Fight Over Chipmaker Nexperia

A dispute over chipmaker Nexperia BV will reach a critical stage as a Dutch court considers whether it should open an investigation and withhold control from Chinese owner Wingtech Technology Co. over allegations of improper technology transfers.

If a probe is opened, court-appointed trustees may continue to control Nijmegen-based Nexperia, prolonging a dispute with Wingtech and the Chinese government. If judges opt against an investigation, Wingtech would regain control, effectively ending the standoff that has disrupted the auto industry in Europe and around the world.
