Czech Central Bank Sees Core Inflation Strong Reason for Caution
A key gauge of underlying price pressures in the Czech Republic remains elevated and requires tight monetary policy, even as headline inflation may undershoot the target this year, according to the central bank.
Data released Tuesday showed that core inflation — a key measure of domestic risks — accelerated to 2.8% year-on-year in December, offsetting a slowdown in November.
