Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto visited the nation’s planned new capital for the first time since taking office more than a year ago, a sign of continued support for the legacy project of his predecessor.

Prabowo toured Nusantara on Tuesday after staying there overnight, according to statements from the presidential palace. He inspected infrastructure projects in the city as part of his tour of the Kalimantan region, where he also inaugurated an expanded oil refinery, they added.
