Heineken to Replace CEO as Dutch Brewer Mired in Sales Slump

Heineken NV Chief Executive Officer Dolf van den Brink is stepping down abruptly as the brewer faces a drop in beer sales and underperforms rivals.

Van den Brink will stand down on May 31, Heineken said Monday, a surprise move after six years at the helm and more than 28 years at the Dutch company overall. Heineken will now begin to look for his successor, and Van den Brink, 52, will stay on to advise the company until next year.
