Turkish Vice President Vows to Maintain Tight Economic Policy
Turkey will stick with a tight economic policy stance despite signs of easing inflation, Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz said, pushing back against expectations that disinflation will prompt a loosening of policy.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Yilmaz said there would be “no relaxation” of the current program, adding that while “adjustments can always be made,” authorities would not compromise on the scale or resolve of the policy framework.
