Dutch Election Winner Jetten Seeks to Form Minority Government

Three Dutch parties including election winner Rob Jetten’s center-left Democrats 66 announced plans to form a minority government, signaling headway in coalition talks.

Jetten’s group, the Christian Democrats and the center-right People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy said Friday they agreed to invite several opposition parties to discuss possible policy agreements, public broadcaster NOS reported. The three parties account for 66 seats, short of the 76 needed for a majority in the 150-seat House of Representatives.
