Zalando Shutting German Logistics Center With 2,700 Employees

Zalando SE is closing a German logistics center with about 2,700 employees as the online-shopping platform streamlines its network following an acquisition last year.

The closure of the facility in Erfurt is planned by the end of September and will ensure that Zalando can “grow as planned,” the company said Thursday. It will also discontinue operations at three warehouses outside Germany that are run by external service providers.
