ECB Says Consumers’ Inflation Expectations Remain Unchanged

Inflation expectations among euro-area consumers were stable in November, supporting the European Central Bank’s plan to keep interest rates on hold.

Prices were seen rising 2.8% over the next 12 months, unchanged from October, according to a monthly ECB survey released Thursday. Expectations for three years ahead and for five years ahead also remained steady — at 2.5% and 2.2%, respectively.
