Kast Tells Investors He’ll Name Chile’s New Cabinet on Jan. 20

President-elect José Antonio Kast told Chilean business leaders he’ll announce his long-awaited cabinet on Jan. 20 as he doubled down on his pro-market plans to spur economic growth and cut red tape.

Kast, speaking Thursday in his first major remarks before local investors since winning last month’s runoff, said his administration will mark the end of a period of uncertainty for Chile. Though he declined to reveal any government appointments, he said he was joined by “several people who are going to help us in the future.”
