UK Exports Return to Growth After Yearlong Slump, PMI Shows
British businesses reported their first pickup in overseas orders in over a year, according to a survey suggesting private sector activity turned a corner at the end of 2025.
S&P Global said its overall purchasing managers’ index improved slightly to 51.4 in December, up from 51.2 the month before. While the indicator was weaker than the preliminary estimate of 52.1, it remained above the 50 threshold indicating expansion for the eighth month in a row.
