South Korea’s Lee Seeks ‘Full Restoration’ of Ties With China

South Korean President Lee Jae Myung met with Chinese Premier Li Qiang and pledged deeper cooperation in talks that echoed his summit with President Xi Jinping as Seoul seeks a “full restoration” of bilateral ties.

The meeting in Beijing on Tuesday came a day after leaders of the two countries reaffirmed the value of their bilateral relationship at their second meeting in two months in the Chinese capital, signaling efforts by both sides to stabilize ties as geopolitical tensions mount.
