Freenet’s Waipu.TV Taps Citi, Berenberg for German IPO, Sources Say

Freenet AG-controlled German streaming platform Waipu.TV has selected Citigroup Inc. and Berenberg as global coordinators for its potential initial public offering this year, according to people familiar with the matter.

Exaring AG, which is majority owned by Freenet and manages Waipu.TV, could be valued at as much as €1.5 billion ($1.8 billion) in a listing in Frankfurt, the people said, declining to be identified because the information is private.
