Turkey urged the parties involved in the US attack on Venezuela to exercise caution and said it was ready to help resolve the crisis, issuing its first statement after the operation that resulted in the capture of Nicolás Maduro in Caracas.

“Türkiye attaches importance to the stability of Venezuela and to the peace and well being of the people of Venezuela,” according to a statement issued by Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Saturday. “We call on all parties to exercise restraint in order to prevent the current situation from leading to adverse consequences for regional and international security.”
