North Korea Launches Missiles a Day Before Lee-Xi Summit
North Korea fired suspected ballistic missiles toward waters off its eastern coast, South Korea’s military said, a day before leaders from South Korea and China hold a summit in Beijing.
The South Korean military detected “several” projectiles believed to be ballistic missiles, fired from the vicinity of Pyongyang as of 7:50 a.m. local time Sunday, according to the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The missiles flew about 900 kilometers, according to the JCS.
