Zelenskiy Taps Defense Chief Denys Shmyhal as Energy Minister

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy says he plans to offer Ukraine’s Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal the position of energy minister and first deputy prime minister, according to a post on X.

Zelenskiy met with Shmyhal and Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko in Kyiv on Saturday and said he counts on support from parliament to approve his choice.
