South Africa’s Ramaphosa Names New Presidential Climate Commission

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has appointed 25 people to serve as commissioners on the country’s climate body for the next five years.

Ramaphosa, the chairman of the Presidential Climate Commission, will announce the deputy chairperson at the first meeting of the commission in 2026 and further outline its priorities from now until 2030, his office said in a statement on Friday.
