Ivory Coast Leader Cements Hold on Power in Parliamentary Vote

The Rally of Houphouëtists for Democracy and Peace won 197 of the 255 National Assembly seats, results released by the nation’s electoral commission on Monday show. Its main rival, the Democratic Party of Ivory Coast–African Democratic Rally, led by former Credit Suisse AG Chief Executive Officer Tidjane Thiam, won 32 seats.
